Real-Life Success Stories

1. The Chinese Car Brand

A small Chinese car Brand in Algeria, with a bad reputation (because of previous ownership) was convinced that there was no audience for their sales on the web. It took me just 5 mn to prove them otherwise using just Google Trends.

They have the perfect match, a small pickup truck, and a regular one, that were in the right price bracket that allowed to use in a government program for allowances to new businesses.

After just selling 1 or 2 vehicles per month, they went to selling all their stock (300 vehicles) in 3 months, using just google search ads and some Facebook ads.

2. Price comparison website

A good Friend of mine had 2 websites for comparing prices, one for cars, the other for consumer electronics. The car one was the oldest and was making 500K visits per month, the electronics one, was newer and was barely making 20K visits per month.

After helping him with some on page SEO and keyword research to rank on the better keywords, targeting more niches, using social media to post and direct people to the website. The Electronics website went to 200K visits per month in 2 months and now is the leading one.

• “I’m Not an Expert”

Guess what? Nobody starts as an expert. Expertise comes from consistent practice, testing, failing, and refining.

• “I Don’t Have Time”

If your work schedule is packed, dedicate 30 minutes a day to learn or practice marketing skills. Little steps add up fast.

You might—and that’s okay. Every failed campaign or tactic teaches you what not to do next time. In marketing, iteration is the name of the game.
